My earliest memory was when I was 4 years old, awake before anyone else at an unreasonably early hour, playing our Nintendo in the living room. The music of Super Mario filled my ears, and I was intrigued by the sounds coming from the primitive console. I was fascinated by how the melody was upbeat and playful, yet would change to uneasy and (to my young self) scary in an instant. I was hooked- and I’ve been chasing that high to this day.
The first instrument I picked up was the saxophone, and then found an undying love for the guitar and bass in middle school. After class, I would get home and immediately begin to play along to my favorite record for hours upon end. I knew that I was going to be a musician.
Since then, I’ve been in many bands with many records, played countless shows across North America, and composed countless songs.
I currently work as a composer, producer, recording engineer, hired gun, and music teacher.
Music is so important to us all, individually, and collectively. To me- music has been my creative outlet, my lifework, and on dark days- my lifeline.
